Placing Your Order

Uploading your design

Only designs made in KiCad are officially supported. We request your .kicad_pcb file, but not your schematic file. It helps a ton in ensuring your board gets built properly! We won’t share your files with anyone else. Check out our privacy policy if you have concerns.

I don’t have a .kicad_pcb file

Maybe you designed your board using a different CAD package. Maybe you only have Gerber files and a BOM. Or maybe you simply just don’t want to provide your .kicad_pcb file. Whatever the reason, if you can’t upload a .kicad_pcb file, we’ve still got you covered.

Just make sure your design files contain the following industry-standard information, essential for assembly:

  • A .csv (or similar) file containing the following information for all components:
    • Reference designator
    • Value/Manufacturer part number
    • X location (in mm/mil/inches)
    • Y location (in mm/mil/inches)
    • Rotation (in degrees)
  • Optional but recommended, A bill of materials (BOM) file

If your project is in another format, or you only have Gerber files and a BOM, or you just don’t want to provide your .kicad_pcb file, you can compress/archive your project and email it to sales@oshassembly.com for a traditional custom quote. We are still happy to help, however, keep in mind that this may add additional delay and cost and this goes against what our service is all about.
